An apple a day...

I couldn't resist this super sweet pincushion by Morgan Wills when I meandered through last Saturday's Craft Victoria 'craft hatch' market. As Morgan pointed out it is the perfect size and squishiness for a pincushion and I find I can never have too many as I work from a number of different tables during the course of a day.

Also at the markets was the talented Susan of Spin Spin whose stand as always was brimful of yummy textiles. Plus I couldn't resist a BYO coffee cup by hookturn as a gift for a coffee addict friend of mine.

Lots of other beautiful things were on display too. I do love a good market where I am the lookee and not the stallee!

Voodoo Therapy

I am a big fan of pincushions and have some very treasured ones in my collection. At the moment I am loving using the 'voodoo' style (above) made for me by Sally of djbebe. Its very therapeutic to stab the pins back when the sewing machine isn't in a co-operative mood.

The 3 pictured below are sweet handmade ones created exclusively for my shop. Priced from $12.50 they are a wonderful gift idea not only for someone who sews, but you could also use them to display badges or vintage hat pins.
