Lolly Lips

Today at Lyssy May I delighted in the delivery of the latest goodies from the world of Oopsidaisi - luscious lip balms in a range of flavours that would not look out of place on a dessert trolley. Apple Pie, Coconut Ice, Caramel Tart and Lemon Meringue are just some of the 18 delicious choices you will have to agonise over!

Mother and Daughter at Oopsidaisi

A few weeks ago I wrote about designer Sam McLean whose gorgeous things are always popular amongst Lyssy May customers. This week a new parcel of the lovely Oopsidaisi hair ties arrived which I love displaying with this vintage china that has a cross stitch pattern on it. (I bought the bowl in a set of 4 at the Paddington Antique Market here in Brisbane. It is a great place to lose an hour or two).
Sam's daughter and her friend have combined their talents under the label 'Emma and Tahlia' to create the prettiest of memo pegs (above) which arrived just in time for a lovely gift for Mother's Day. Looking at the choice of colours and patterns on these pretty pegs I would say that these two talented girls will have a label to watch!

Sam Mclean

I love the work of Australian designer, Sam Mclean and often have little treasures she has created available in my store, such as this fabulous scarf in chocolates and turquoise. I first read about Sam in Country Style magazine and love her style of mixing fabrics and she also does some fabulous felting work. As well as designing under her own name, Sam also has the label Oopsidaisi and you will always find a selection of her gorgeous hairties on the counter at Lyssy May!
