Welcome little one

My grandmother stitched birth samplers for all of her grandchildren and it was something that I wanted to continue to do in her honor. We've been lucky enough to have a new addition to the family so Aunty Lyssy May got to work. This has now been framed and adorns the nursey wall and hopefully will be a treasured piece forever.
It's been a while since I have embarked on a cross stitch project. This design was a particularly nice one (took only a couple of days to complete) and I love to work on linen. Hopefully 2011 will bring more projects for pleasure!

Thanks for the comments girls! Funnily enough the pattern comes from a book called 'made to treasure'. Happy to pass on the pattern if anyone would like a copy. x
